We will start off with a content based approach and switch over to using collaborative filtering when we have more users. This means that at the start it will only look for similar cocktails in terms of the flavour profile of cocktails you have rated, in addition to other features, but will later take into consideration the preferences of people with similar tastes.
The app is based on a freemium model. The basic features will be free, but we will also offer premium features that will be available for a small fee. These features will include the ability to find what cocktails you can make with the ingredients you have at home and we will generate new cocktails just for you
For now, we want to start out by focusing on helping users find fantastic cocktails to try with a heavy emphasis on the flavors of drinks. But later on, we want to integrate our service with bars in order to help users find bars that fit their preferences, help bars automate the ordering of drinks and menu creation
